Westchester

While we stop short of calling ourselves a residential treatment program, our combination of world-class clinical services and years of expertise in structured transitional living allows us to provide many of the benefits traditionally associated with residential care.
At Release, the clinical and residential components are intentionally integrated to create a seamless, immersive treatment experience in both Westchester and Austin. Clients live in a structured environment that promotes consistency, accountability, and community while participating in a robust clinical program. Housing and treatment operate as one cohesive system, allowing real-life experiences to inform clinical work and therapeutic insights to be immediately practiced in daily living.
Our model mirrors many aspects of a traditional 30-day residential program, with one significant advantage: a longer length of stay. This extended timeframe gives clients the opportunity to reinforce recovery skills, build healthy routines, strengthen peer connections, and develop the confidence needed for lasting success beyond treatment.

What's included

Comprehensive Clinical Care

Our program offers a full continuum of clinical care, including individual and group therapy, evaluation, and medication management at every level. Guided by a trauma-informed approach and overseen by our Chief Medical Officer, treatment is comprehensive, evidence-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs throughout their recovery journey.

Clinical approach: Trauma in its purest form is defined as “Something that has happened to you that shouldn’t have or something that should have happened that didn’t.”

It’s our belief that everyone coming into our care has some form of trauma. Therefore, our approach is centered around trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment that supports emotional, psychological, and physical healing. Our team integrates a wide range of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychodrama, Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM®).

All clients will work with our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael McCormick, in addition to our team of Master’s Level Clinicians. Our variety of specialized groups, combined with our gender-specific, trauma informed approach, creates a safe space for all to recover.

FAMILY INVOLVEMENT

While clients receive one-on-one care and individualized treatment planning, we provide wrap-around services for the entire family system, as well. Families receive regular check-ins from the case management team, and benefit from both peer and clinical support offered through weekly family groups and quarterly family education weekends.

Research shows that the identified client has a higher likelihood of achieving long-term recovery when family members are actively engaged in their own recovery process. As part of the program, family members learn their own recovery tools, receiving education, therapy, and coaching. There will undoubtedly be ups and downs throughout the journey, so Release offers a number of supports to help you along the way.
